So here’s the thing. I’m a mother who struggles with being a mother. Nothing to do with lumbago or lunch-box indecision; quite simply I’ve lost who I am.
This blog is a day-to-day exploration of what we were and what we become when we we’re body- and mind-snatched by parenthood. It’s intention is to gel the two together. It’s a messy business, so it’ll be more of a gin-soaked putting-the-world-to-rights than a matronly pull-yourself-together kind of blog, if I may get metaphorical.
At times the words might be harsh. At others they may be sweet as pureed apple with cinnamon, honey and aspartame. But whatever the serving, it’s only suggestive – of frame of mind, of state of play and possibility of a personality pulling itself from the mire and getting a new life.
I'll be posting essays and thoughts as they transpire, and appreciate feedback.
Rattle Tat kinds thanks Alpha Inventions for getting the blog rolling!
